Christmas Gift
|
GIFT You are a gift to somebody. To your parents, family, friends, your community, even if you feel unloved or unappreciated. When a gift is given, it has a purpose. It may be a surprise, it gives joy and it is given for a reason. Though the reason and purpose is definite, I t may not be understood and may subject to misinterpretation. The gift itself has no say or choice about its destination or purpose. A good gift is one that has a purpose and meets the need of the person to whom it is given. It does what it is meant to do; it is not left unopened, or opened and kept UN used. The recipient’s reaction, or feeling towards the gift vary. It may be unexpected or expected, a surprise which gives pleasure. It may even be unappreciated. One of the greatest gifts to mankind is Jesus. He was given for a purpose. He accomplished this purpose while on earth and the climax is death on the cross. Not many people know, receive or appreciate the gift. Some accept the gift and only wears it as a badge but do not behave or live the life of a follower (Christian). When you open your Christmas present, remember the greatest gift of all. Baby Jesus (whom we celebrate) grew up as a man and went about doing good and laid down principles for good living. Perhaps you do not know this Jesus and why he is a gift that you must open, and get to know. Drop in to our church if you live locally, or email us and we will tell you more. Wherever you are, be a gift and find your purpose for the place, situation or event. You are to fulfil the purpose for which you are there. Nobody is created useless and without a purpose. What comes naturally to you or your talent, is one of the things you need to make a difference to your community. Develop it and use it to make a positive difference. At Immanuel House of Worship we help you find your purpose and how to operate in it. Drop in to our Church, ring or email us. Please fill our contact form and we will get in touch with you. |
