The Word of God.
Salvation/Word of GodThis month be encouraged to read and meditate on the Bible daily. It is not sufficient to read the word only on Sundays. As a Christian you need to develop the habit of reading the Bible daily as part of your worship, devotion and relationship with God. The word of God is given by inspiration of God, 2Tim 3:16-17. for teaching, rebuking for correction, and for our instruction in righteousness so that we may be complete and equipped for every good works. The word of God is living and powerful. Heb 4:12 and can reach our innermost heart if we are open to it. The word of God is the truth and it is pure and it stands forever.( Is.40:8.) The promises are ours if we obey and keep Gods commandments and Word. The Bible tells us how God has dealt with man until the coming of Jesus (Old Testament) and the New Testament is about the life and teaching of out Lord Jesus Christ and the early church together with instruction in living. We should not only read the Bible but we must practice what we read.- Be doers of the word and not only listeners. (James 1:22.) There are blessings in the obedience of Gods Word and his commandments. Deut.7:12-15 keeping Gods commandments in his word is an expression of our love for him- John.14:15,23.
